In this head to head comparison of XTB vs TMGM, we will compare the trading platforms, mobile apps, range of investments, costs, market research, and more. Let's dive in.
CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Between 51% and 89% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.
XTB, established in 2002, and TMGM, which started in 2013, are both reputable online brokers in the financial industry. XTB has earned a high Trust Score of 96 from ForexBrokers.com, indicating a highly trusted status. TMGM, on the other hand, holds a solid Trust Score of 83, falling into the trusted category. Both brokers are not banks, but XTB differs by being publicly traded, while TMGM is privately held.
Regarding regulatory compliance, XTB and TMGM each hold two Tier-1 licenses, marking them as highly trusted. XTB further strengthens its regulatory standing with two Tier-2 licenses, while TMGM does not hold any Tier-2 licenses. This difference is one of the key aspects contributing to the variance in their Trust Score ratings and reflects their differing approaches to regulatory coverage. These factors make XTB and TMGM both reliable choices, with particular distinctions in their regulatory profiles and public status.

XTB and TMGM both offer low-cost ways to trade, but they take different paths. XTB earns 4.5 out of 5 stars for commissions and fees and is ranked 12th out of 63 brokers by ForexBrokers.com. TMGM earns 4 out of 5 stars and ranks 37th out of 63. In short, XTB’s pricing sits around the industry average and trails the very cheapest brokers, while TMGM’s value depends on choosing its commission account.
At XTB, the Standard account uses only spreads and averaged 1.0 pip on EUR/USD in Q4 2023. The Professional (commission) account is being phased out and is mostly limited to elective professionals in the U.K. and EU. Minimum deposit is 250 in your base currency. For smaller trade sizes, the Standard account tends to be cheaper; at higher volumes, Standard and Pro were historically similar. Active traders can join XTB’s Lower Spread Group to get 5%–30% of the spread rebated once monthly volume passes 20 lots, scaling up to 1,000 lots for the full discount.
TMGM offers two choices: the spread-only Classic account or the Edge account, which adds a small commission of $3.50 per side ($7 round trip) to typically low spreads and advertises no requotes. TMGM does not publish recent average spread data for EUR/USD, which makes direct cost comparisons harder. Islamic (swap-free) trading is available only on the Edge account. If you want published average spreads and volume-based rebates, XTB is more transparent; if you prefer a low-commission model—or need a swap-free option—TMGM’s Edge account is the draw.

XTB and TMGM each offer forex trading (via CFDs or spot), but their product lineups differ in key ways. TMGM lists more total tradeable symbols (about 12,000) than XTB (7,184), which appeals to broad-market explorers. However, XTB features more tradeable forex pairs (71 vs. 62) and gives access to real, exchange-traded stocks on both U.S. and international exchanges—so you can buy shares like Apple or Vodafone directly, not just as CFDs. TMGM does not offer real share dealing, but it does include copy trading, which can be attractive if you want to mirror other traders’ strategies.
Both brokers support cryptocurrency derivatives but do not offer the ability to buy actual crypto. For Range of Investments, XTB earns 5 stars and is ranked #15 out of 63 brokers, while TMGM scores 4.5 stars and ranks #18. Choose XTB if direct stock ownership and a wider selection of forex pairs matter most; pick TMGM if you want a huge symbol list and built-in copy trading.
