Comparing commissions and fees: eToro is a market-maker with a typical variable spread of 1.0 pip on EUR/USD, which is slightly above the industry average. Vantage’s pricing depends on account type and entity. Its Standard STP account listed typical EUR/USD spreads of 1.30 pips in March 2023. The Raw ECN account averaged 0.15 pips plus a $3 commission per side ($6 round turn), for about 0.75 pips all-in during that period. Overall, Vantage sits near the industry average and doesn’t match the very cheapest providers, but its ECN options can undercut eToro’s 1-pip spread.
eToro isn’t chosen for low spreads so much as for its social copy trading, but it does offer a VIP Club with five tiers (Silver to Diamond) for balances from $5,000 to $250,000, adding perks like Trading Central, discounted deposits and withdrawals, and a dedicated account manager. Cost-focused and higher-volume traders at Vantage can consider the PRO ECN account, which charges $2 per side ($4 round turn) and is the broker’s best-priced option, though eligibility and minimums vary by entity.
