XTB (founded 2002) and Vantage (founded 2009) are online brokers with global reach. XTB is publicly traded, while Vantage is privately held. Neither broker is a bank.
Both brokers hold two Tier-1 licenses, the highest level regarded by ForexBrokers.com. XTB also holds two Tier-2 licenses versus one for Vantage. On ForexBrokers.com’s 99-point Trust Score, XTB scores 96 and Vantage 91; both fall in the 90–99 range, which is considered highly trusted. That said, XTB’s higher score and extra Tier-2 authorization may signal a slight edge in regulatory coverage.

XTB and Vantage are both fairly priced online brokers, with each earning 4.5 out of 5 stars for commissions and fees. In ForexBrokers.com’s rankings, XTB places #13 out of 36 brokers, while Vantage edges slightly ahead at #12 out of 36. Both brokers sit around the industry average overall, but neither matches the lowest-cost leaders in the market.
At XTB, pricing is mostly based on a spread-only Standard account, with a commission-based Professional account available only to eligible clients in the U.K. and Europe. Recent data showed an average EUR/USD spread of 1 pip on XTB’s Standard account, and the broker also offers lower spread rebates for active traders through its Lower Spread Group program. For most retail traders, the Standard account is the simpler choice, especially since the Pro account is being phased out in many regions.
Vantage gives traders more account options: a Standard STP account with spread-only pricing, plus RAW ECN and PRO ECN accounts that add commissions. Its Standard account had an average EUR/USD spread of 1.30 pips, while the RAW account worked out to about 0.75 pips after commission, and the PRO account was the cheapest option for those who qualify. Vantage also offers rebates for active traders, though those discounts apply only to the Standard account, which has the highest spreads of the three.

XTB offers a wider range of investments than Vantage, with 10,521 tradeable symbols compared with Vantage’s 1,028. XTB also provides more forex pairs, with 71 available versus 61 at Vantage. Both brokers support forex trading as CFDs or spot contracts, and both offer cryptocurrency CFDs. However, XTB goes further by letting clients buy actual cryptocurrency as well as trade exchange-listed shares on U.S. and international markets, while Vantage does not offer direct share dealing on those exchanges.
Vantage does have one area that XTB does not: copy trading. Even so, XTB scores higher overall for range of investments, earning 5 stars and a ForexBrokers.com ranking of #14 out of 36 brokers, compared with Vantage’s 3.5 stars and #33 ranking. For traders who want more markets and more asset choices, XTB is the stronger pick.

XTB and Vantage both give traders a free demo account, a web-based platform, and their own in-house trading platform. Both also let you place trades straight from a chart, which is handy if you like making quick decisions while watching price moves. In ForexBrokers.com’s Trading Platforms and Tools category, XTB is rated 4.5 out of 5 stars and ranked #9 out of 36 brokers, while Vantage is rated 4 out of 5 stars and ranked #20.
The bigger difference is in platform choice. Vantage supports Windows desktop trading, MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, and copy trading, giving it more options for traders who want familiar software or social trading features. XTB, on the other hand, does not offer a Windows desktop download, MT4, MT5, or copy trading, so it may appeal more to traders who prefer a simpler setup built around its web platform and proprietary tools.

XTB and Vantage both make it easy to trade on the go with iPhone and Android apps, plus helpful features like stock or forex price alerts, watchlist syncing between mobile and online accounts, trendline drawing, and auto-saving chart drawings. In other words, both apps cover the basics well for traders who want to monitor the market and manage watchlists from their phone.
Where XTB pulls ahead is in charting depth and overall app quality. Its mobile app offers 104 technical studies, compared with 30 at Vantage, which gives more room for detailed analysis. That edge is reflected in ratings too: XTB scores 4.5 out of 5 for Mobile Trading Apps and ranks 8th out of 36 brokers, while Vantage scores 4 out of 5 and ranks 24th out of 36.

XTB and Vantage both give traders useful market research tools, including daily market commentary, a sentiment tool showing long and short positioning, and an economic calendar for tracking major global events. Neither broker offers forex news from major sources like Bloomberg or Reuters, and neither includes research from Autochartist, TipRanks, or Acuity Trading.
The main difference is that Vantage includes Trading Central research tools, while XTB does not. That extra feature helps Vantage stand out a little, but XTB still comes out ahead overall with a 5-star Research rating and a #9 ranking out of 36 brokers from ForexBrokers.com, compared with Vantage’s 4-star rating and #20 ranking.

For beginners looking to learn forex or CFDs, both XTB and Vantage offer a wide range of educational content, including more than 10 learning pieces on trading topics, monthly online webinars, and at least 10 beginner videos as well as 10 advanced videos. That means new traders can find lessons on the basics, while more experienced users can still access material that goes deeper into trading strategies and market topics.
That said, XTB appears to have the edge in education overall.
