XTB centers on a spread-only Standard account for most clients, while its commission-based Professional account is being phased out and is generally limited to eligible professionals in the U.K. and EU. VT Markets offers a choice: a commission-free Standard STP account with wider spreads, or a Raw ECN account that adds a small commission in exchange for tighter pricing.

For XTB, average EUR/USD spreads were 1.0 pip in Q4 2023 on the Standard account, with a 250 base-currency minimum deposit. XTB and VT Markets both provide free demo (paper) trading and let you trade on web and Windows desktop platforms, including placing orders directly from charts.
