FOREX.com’s Standard account (the only option for MetaTrader users) posted typical EUR/USD spreads of about 1.4 pips in the U.S. in July 2023, while outside the U.S. the EUR/USD averaged about 0.74 pips that same month. The DMA account has been retired and replaced by the RAW account, which showed typical EUR/USD spreads of 0.13 pips (February 2024). The RAW account charges a $7 commission per standard lot ($3.50 per side), adding roughly 0.7 pips to the quoted spread, and includes six volume tiers with rebates of $2–$9 per million. Available in the U.S., EU, and Canada (including MT5), the RAW account can be cost-effective for very active traders; however, in the U.S., unless you trade more than $50 million per month, total costs often end up close to the Standard account.

HYCM’s pricing is straightforward: the Raw account delivers an all-in cost around 0.6 pips on EUR/USD after commission, while the Classic account starts from 1.2 pips and the Fixed account is 1.5 pips. In practice, HYCM’s Raw account can undercut FOREX.com’s Standard pricing and may also beat FOREX.com’s RAW setup for many U.S.-based, lower-volume traders who don’t qualify for larger rebates, while very high-volume traders may find FOREX.com’s tiers increasingly competitive.
