It holds a 5/5 star rating and ranks #6 out of 63 brokers for Commissions and Fees, while FOREX.com earns 4.5/5 stars and ranks #14 out of 63. FP Markets’ commission-based Raw ECN pricing is especially sharp, whereas FOREX.com tends to be a bit pricier in the U.S. unless you use its Raw account and trade sizable volume.

FOREX.com: The Standard account (the only MetaTrader option) averaged 1.4 pips on EUR/USD in the U.S. as of July 2023, while non-U.S. pricing averaged 0.74 pips that month. The newer RAW account (available in the U.S., Canada, and EU) posted typical EUR/USD spreads of 0.13 pips in February 2024, plus a $7 round-turn commission per standard lot (about 0.7 pips all-in). Six volume tiers offer rebates from $2 to $9 per million, but unless you trade more than $50 million per month, U.S. all-in costs on the Commission/RAW setup are similar to the Standard account.

FP Markets: The Raw ECN account averaged 0.1 pips on EUR/USD in October 2023, with a $6 round-turn commission per standard lot—about 0.8 pips all-in. Its Standard account averaged 1.1 pips (no commission). You can use MetaTrader or cTrader with either account. For share CFDs, Iress provides Direct Market Access; however, the ViewPoint tiers can add platform/data fees and require higher balances or monthly commission spend, while the lower-cost Iress Investor platform is more limited.
