Questrade Global is a spread-only model: there’s no separate commission, and costs are included in the bid-ask spread. While spreads can be as low as 0.8 pips in calm markets, observed averages on major pairs often run closer to 2.1–2.5 pips, which works out to roughly $20 per standard-lot trade. For CFDs, Questrade adds a $9.95 USD fee per unit when you open and again when you close the trade—so a single Tesla CFD could cost about $19.95 USD round trip on top of a small spread, plus any overnight financing (e.g., about $2.23 for one month in the example). Bottom line: Questrade’s simple pricing is easy to understand, but its wider spreads and per-unit CFD fees can make active or cost-sensitive trading pricier than with Vantage’s ECN accounts.
