When comparing commissions and fees, Vantage comes out ahead of Questrade for most traders. Vantage offers three account types: the spread-only Standard STP account, the commission-based RAW ECN account, and the lower-cost PRO ECN account. Its pricing is generally around the industry average, with the best value on the PRO account for eligible clients. Questrade uses a spread-based pricing model, so your trading cost is built into the bid-ask spread instead of a separate commission. In simple terms, Vantage is the better pick if lower trading costs are a priority, especially for active forex traders who can access its RAW or PRO pricing. Questrade may appeal to traders who prefer spread-only pricing, but its wider spreads and added CFD fees can push total costs higher. Vantage and Questrade both let you trade forex as CFDs or spot contracts, but they differ in the size and mix of their product lists. For beginners looking for learning support, Vantage offers more educational content than Questrade. Vantage provides forex and CFD education with at least 10 pieces focused on those topics, along with monthly client webinars and a wide range of videos for both new and experienced traders.
