Questrade and Eightcap both keep their pricing simple, but they do it in different ways. Questrade Global is mostly a spread-based broker, so instead of charging a separate commission on forex trades, it builds its cost into the spread. Questrade says spreads can start at 0.8 pips, though typical major-pair spreads appear closer to 2.1 to 2.5 pips, which can make trading more expensive than lower-cost brokers. Eightcap gives traders a choice between a spread-only Standard account and a commission-based Raw account. In plain terms, Eightcap comes out ahead on commissions and fees, especially for active forex traders looking for lower all-in trading costs.
