CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Between 51% and 89% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

It holds 7 Tier-1 licenses and 1 Tier-2 license, reassuring customers of its strong regulatory standing, though it is not a bank. Both brokers earn 4.5 out of 5 stars for commissions and fees, but FOREX.com ranks higher (#14 of 63) than Vantage (#20 of 63). On headline pricing for EUR/USD, Vantage’s RAW ECN account averages 0.15 pips plus a $6 round-turn commission, for about 0.75 pips all-in. FOREX.com’s RAW account averages 0.13 pips plus a $7 per-lot round turn (about 0.7 pips in commission value), landing near 0.83 pips all-in—so Vantage is a touch cheaper at the base tier.
FOREX.com’s Standard account is spread-only and is the only option for MetaTrader users; typical EUR/USD spreads were 1.4 pips in the U.S. (July 2023). Outside the U.S., average EUR/USD spreads were around 0.74 pips (July 2023). The newer RAW account (available in the U.S., EU, and Canada) is commission-based with volume rebates of $2–$9 per million. Unless you trade more than $50 million per month, FOREX.com’s RAW and Standard accounts tend to produce similar all-in costs for U.S. residents, though very high-volume traders (over $2 billion per month) can unlock much lower effective spreads.
Vantage offers three choices: the spread-only Standard STP account (about 1.30 pips on EUR/USD in March 2023), the RAW ECN account (about 0.75 pips all-in), and the PRO ECN account, which cuts commission to $4 per round turn for those who qualify (e.g., wholesale status in Australia or a $10,000 minimum with the Cayman entity). Vantage’s active trader program pays $2–$8 per standard lot in rebates, but it applies only to the Standard account—so the best pricing for most cost-focused traders typically comes from its RAW or PRO ECN tiers.
