You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

FP Markets comes out ahead of FxPro on commissions and fees, thanks to its low-cost trading options on MetaTrader and cTrader. Its Raw ECN account is the standout choice for value, with very tight spreads and a commission-based model that keeps total trading costs low. FP Markets also earned Best in Class honors for Commissions and Fees in our 2024 Annual Awards. By contrast, FxPro’s pricing is above the industry average, with its best rates typically found on cTrader, but even there costs are higher than many rivals.
For everyday forex trading, FP Markets’ Raw ECN account averaged 0.1 pips in spread, or about 0.8 pips all-in after commission, while its Standard account was pricier at around 1.1 pips on EUR/USD. FxPro’s cTrader pricing worked out to about 1.27 pips on EUR/USD all-in, and its MT4/MT5 variable-spread accounts were even more expensive. FP Markets also offers DMA-style pricing on its Iress share CFD platform, though some Iress account types and data access can add fees. FxPro has some useful features, like an Active Trader program with discounts of up to 30%, but its overall pricing still trails cheaper brokers.
In terms of ratings and rankings, FP Markets is rated 4.5 out of 5 stars and ranks #11 out of 36 brokers for Commissions and Fees. FxPro is rated 4 out of 5 stars and ranks #29 out of 36. For traders who care most about keeping costs down, FP Markets is the stronger pick.
