CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Between 51% and 89% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

Fees

Comparing trading costs, FP Markets generally undercuts FxPro. FP Markets earns 4.5 out of 5 stars for Commissions and Fees and ranks #11 of 63 brokers, while FxPro scores 4 out of 5 stars and ranks #29 of 63. On EUR/USD, FP Markets’ Raw ECN account averages 0.1 pips plus a $6 round‑turn commission per standard lot (about 0.8 pips all‑in), whereas FxPro’s most competitive setup—its cTrader account—works out to roughly 1.27 pips all‑in.

FP Markets is priced aggressively on its commission-based Raw ECN account and also offers a spread-only Standard account that averages 1.1 pips on EUR/USD. On cTrader, you can choose the spread-only Standard or the Raw pricing with a flat $6 round‑turn commission. FP Markets also won Best in Class for Commissions and Fees in 2024. For share CFDs on Iress, pricing follows DMA with full depth of book, but the ViewPoint accounts can add platform and data costs unless you’re on Premier or generate at least AUD 150 in monthly commissions (Iress minimum deposits: Standard AUD 1,000; Platinum AUD 25,000; Premier AUD 50,000). The low-cost Iress Investor option waives monthly fees but limits live data and charting.

FxPro’s pricing sits above the industry average. Its sharpest pricing is on cTrader with commission-based trading, delivering about 1.27 pips all‑in on EUR/USD. On MT4 and MT5 with floating spreads, typical EUR/USD costs are higher (around 1.58 pips on MT4 market execution, 1.51 on MT5, and 1.71 with instant execution). There’s no fixed-spread option on MT5, and MetaTrader accounts require at least 1 pip distance for stop/limit orders (no minimum on cTrader). FxPro’s Elite Active Trader program offers up to 30% discounts, but the net result still trails lower-cost peers—and, in most cases, FP Markets.
