Comparing commissions and fees, Eightcap generally comes out cheaper than FxPro. Eightcap earns 4.5/5 stars and ranks #20 of 63 for this category, while FxPro holds 4/5 stars and ranks #29 of 63. In short, Eightcap’s pricing is closer to the industry’s low-cost leaders, whereas FxPro tends to be a bit pricier on average.
FxPro offers multiple pricing setups across platforms. On MT4 you can choose variable or fixed spreads, with instant execution (no slippage but possible requotes) or market execution (possible slippage, no requotes). On cTrader, the all-in cost for EUR/USD is about 1.27 pips, combining an average spread of 0.37 pips with a 0.9-pip commission-equivalent (based on August 2020 data). Variable EUR/USD spreads on MT4/MT5 were around 1.58 pips (1.51 on MT5) with market execution and 1.71 pips with instant execution. Order rules differ by platform: cTrader has no minimum distance for stops/limits, while MetaTrader requires at least 1 pip—even on the Elite account. FxPro’s Elite (Active Trader) program can discount costs by up to 30%, but it still trails top discount programs from rivals.
Eightcap keeps things simple with two account types across its global entities: the commission-based Raw account and the spread-only Standard account. The Raw account lists an average spread of 0.06 pips; after adding the $3.50 per side commission, the all-in cost for EUR/USD is roughly 0.76 pips—just under the industry average of 0.8 pips. While not the absolute lowest in the market, Eightcap is typically cheaper than FxPro for active forex trading.
