Its costs are higher than average overall, though traders can find its best pricing on the cTrader platform, where the EUR/USD all-in cost is about 1.27 pips after commissions. On MT4 and MT5, FxPro uses variable spreads, with EUR/USD spreads around 1.51 to 1.71 pips depending on the account and execution type. FxPro also offers an Elite account with active trader discounts of up to 30%, but even then it tends to trail lower-cost competitors.
Questrade is rated 3.5 out of 5 stars and ranks #35 out of 36 brokers for commissions and fees. It uses spread-based pricing, so the cost is built into the bid-ask spread rather than charged as a separate commission for forex. While Questrade says spreads can start as low as 0.8 pips, real-world averages for major pairs are often closer to 2.1 to 2.5 pips, which can make trading more expensive than it first appears. For CFDs, Questrade adds a $9.95 USD fee per trade unit, and those charges can quickly raise the total cost, especially on smaller positions.
Overall, FxPro comes out ahead of Questrade on fees, mainly because its pricing is more transparent and its cTrader setup can be cheaper for active forex traders. Questrade may look simple at first, but its spread-only model and added CFD fees can make it costly in practice. If low trading costs are a top priority, FxPro is the stronger choice of the two.
