Fees

When comparing commissions and fees, FxPro comes out ahead of Questrade overall, though both brokers have pricing that can be expensive depending on how you trade. FxPro is rated 4 out of 5 stars and ranks #30 out of 36 for Commissions and Fees, while Questrade is rated 3.5 out of 5 stars and ranks #34 out of 36. FxPro’s costs are above the industry average, with its best pricing found on the cTrader platform, where the EUR/USD all-in cost is about 1.27 pips after commission. Its MT4 and MT5 accounts use variable spreads, with EUR/USD pricing that can range from about 1.51 to 1.71 pips based on execution type.

Questrade takes a different approach: it is a spread-only broker, so its trading costs are built into the bid-ask spread instead of a separate commission for forex. While Questrade says spreads can start as low as 0.8 pips in normal market conditions, typical pricing for major pairs is closer to 2.1 to 2.5 pips, which can make trades costlier than they first appear. For CFDs, Questrade adds a $9.95 USD trading fee per unit on top of the spread, and overnight financing charges can increase the total cost even more.

In simple terms, FxPro is generally the better choice if you want more pricing options and potentially lower all-in forex costs, especially on cTrader. Questrade may suit traders who prefer spread-based pricing, but its average forex and CFD costs are higher overall. If low fees are a top priority, FxPro has the edge, though neither broker is among the cheapest in the market.
